The Battle of Teugn-Hausen

A great time last night playing Black Powder via Table Top Simulator. We expect to finish this game in a couple of weeks.

What a Tanker!

In which I play a evening of What A Tanker! from Too Fat Lardies with some of the lads from the Armchair Dragoons, using Table Top Simulator. Kudos to Jim for the fine TTS setup!

2mm English Foot Battalion - 1690

I'm experimenting today with how to paint these 2mm figure blocks. I've made a first attempt by painting a Williamite-era pike & shot English battalion.

First 2mm Has Arrived

My first batch of 2mm 3D printed minis has arrived! Here they are before being cut off of the sprues.

2mm - Here we go!

My first order of 3D printed 2mm minis is on the way. These guys are War of the Grand Alliance/War of Spanish Succession models. There's also a set of battalion command groups in the order I couldn't get in the screenshot. These are models from Forward March Studios that I intend to use with the Maurice rules. I had these printed at Shapeways.

You know your hobby is serious when...

I was doing some reviewing and editing of scenarios and rules for a game I'm helping with on the Thirty Years War and realized I didn't have a good reference on specific battles. Now I do.

Time to Get Started

Painting and basing supplies arrived this week. I hope to get started painting my War of Spanish Succession armies this weekend!

My Winter Project - 6mm War of Spanish Succession

One of my many fine presents this Christmas was the War of Spanish Succession boxed starter set from Baccus 6mm.
