Scenes from Lens, 1648

A couple of scenes from the Battle of Lens, fought between the French under Condé and the Spanish under Archduke Leopold on August 20 1648.

This is a play-by-email-game where I'm commanding the French. My esteemed opponent in this case knows what he's about. A significant cavalry clash has developed on the French right/Spanish left. So far we're coming off about equal, but the Spanish have more cavalry overall than I do.
