If I remember correctly, Erskine was genuinely nuts!

I suppose there are "options" in the sense that you can set a leader to "no orders" and then proceed to micromanage the units as usual, or even move parts of a formation during one or two turns to fine-tune a subordinate's tactics. I want to give some larger battles a try and see how this approach works out. In my mind I see doing that the equivalent of Wellington being very hands on with his subordinates.
Doug Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782846735047080442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1398141406477470157.post-56584970737116004202015-07-06T19:10:44.699-04:002015-07-06T19:10:44.699-04:00Hi Doug. Its interesting to play using C&C and watch some commanders slowly obey orders while others stream forward without hesitation. I've not looked under the hood so to speak to see what accounts for that behavior but it has, as you say, made for interesting battles. At Casal Novo I actually took command of a brigade from Drummond because he was marching directly into a V shaped defense and getting creamed. I could just imagine the exchange on the battelfield between Erskine and Drummond after the latter's disregard for life. Of course, it looks like Ersine was guilty of the same thing in real life.
